This Week in 9/11 (March 15 – 21)

March 22, 2010

A summary of news relating to 9/11/01 – For the week of March 15 through March 21, 2010. (Last week is here)

In what should be headlines for major news outlets, a letter revealed that Donald Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft, and George Tenet wrote a letter to the 9/11 Chairman and Vice Chairman denying them access to detainee’s, and telling them to not cross that line. The letter was one of many different pages in a group of documents recently revealed by the ACLU. In the letter the Chair and Vice Chair of the 9/11 commission are told that their request to talk to detainees would “cross a line” between “national security” and “proper inquiry.” Out of over 100 detainee, the Commission was hoping to talk to only 7. However George Tenet would not even reveal the location of the alleged suspects. Those documents can be found here.

In other news relating to 9/11, a major legal settlement for the sick Ground Zero first responders was rejected by the presiding judge. “In my judgment, this settlement is not enough,” said U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein. Although many had been reporting that the settlement would likely pass, few expected the judge to shut it down.  Although the plaintiffs lawyers were not as happy as the plaintiffs themselves, lets hope this is a move towards proper acknowledgement. The workers only had 90 days to review the settlement and 95% had to agree. Over a third of the settlement would have gone to legal fees, a.k.a  the lawyers.

For many who have looked into the events of 9/11, it seems that the man we know as Usama Bin Laden, will never be caught. The reasons for that may differ, but the concept the same. He is the boogeyman. The recyclable enemy, and his little offspring; Al Qaeda. Recently that notion was backed up with statements made by Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder.

“Let’s deal with reality,” Holder said. “The reality is that we will be reading Miranda rights to the corpse of Osama bin Laden. He will never appear in an American courtroom.”

The possibility of catching him alive is infinitesimal. He will be killed by us or he will be killed by his own people so he can’t be captured by us.”

Nevermind that many intelligence officials at home and abroad believe Usama died years ago. Holder’s announcements can be found here.

The “Building What?!” campaign has been reporting that calls from across the country are being received by the New York City’s City Council members staff. The Building What campaign is aimed at educating the city council of N.Y.C. about World Trade Center #7. Amazingly, people in New York still have not heard of the very peculiar “collapse” of Building #7. If you have not signed on to the campaign it is not too late, the actions take no more  than 30 minutes each day. The campaign is on day 6 of 17.

Rallies have been held across the country on the 7th anniversary of the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq. Saturday, March 20 marked 7 years that Iraq has had occupational forces inside of it causing chaos. 9/11 Truth was seen all over in DC, San francisco, and LA rallies. No doubt many more than that were held. Here is a video of 9/11 activist Jon Gold being arrested in DC. In San Francisco, dozens upon dozens of “9/11 Truth Now!” signs were seen bobbing high in the air. A video of that event has been posted here, and here are some great pictures

Another conference by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 truth was held in Austin on March 20th as well. A recap of that may be found here. Ronald. F. Avery was the lead architect in Texas who was speaking at the event. Alex Jones was also present at the event.

To anyone who has not made the connection of being anti-war and supportive of the 9/11 truth campaign, Cindy Sheehan is extending open arms. Cindy has endorsed the efforts of many thousands of people who seek the answers of 9/11. Recently she asked for the 9/11 truth campaign to “camp out” with her in D.C.  She also stated that the 9/11 truth movement was “bigger than the anti-war movement.” Hmmm. Good to hear.

The latest attacks on 9/11 activists are coming from the Southern Poverty Law Center, or what I have been calling it, the “Center for Poor Practice of Law from the South.” The SPLC recently attacked public television station KBDI in Colorado for showing films relating to 9/11. The law center also listed We Are Change in its “hatewatch” category. KBDI has had more call ins and positive feedback from showing such films as “Press for Truth,” and “Freedom to Fascism” than most any other films they have aired during pledge drives. The attacks by the SPLC are, no doubt, in response to the growing awareness to the lies of 9/11.

Until next week!
